is looking to hire a Local Meat Buyer

to further develop our local meats department.

  

12-20 Hours per Week

Variable Hours

General Qualifications

·       Clear communication skills

·        Ability to organize people, ideas and programs

·       Energetic and excited about local meats and educating the public

·       Personable, good with people

·       Retail experience

·       Accurate and organized

·       Self motivated

 

Specific Qualifications

·       Able to do farm and locker visits, need a vehicle

·       Able to lift 50 pounds

·       Ability to work with local organizations and coalitions

·       Knowledge of meat: both processing and cuts

·       Ability to facilitate and speak in front of people

·      Familiarity with sustainable farming practices
